Privacy policy

Last updated 12 September 2026

This policy explains what happens to your personal data when you use this website. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is responsible for your data

Lynagh Consulting, based in Belfast, is the data controller for the information collected through this website.

To ask what I hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, get in touch through the contact form and I will come back to you personally.

What this website collects

The contact form. When you ask for a discovery call, the form collects your full name, email address and phone number. They are used for one thing: getting back to you to arrange that call.

Server logs. This site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard access logs including IP addresses, briefly, to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

No analytics and no tracking cookies. At the time of writing, this site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and sets no cookies of its own. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

The legal basis for using it

When you contact me, the basis is legitimate interests — you have asked me to get in touch, and replying is the obvious purpose. Where we go on to work together, the basis becomes performance of a contract.

Who else sees it

Netlify hosts the site and processes contact form submissions on my behalf. Their servers may be outside the UK, and transfers are covered by their standard data protection terms.

Google. When you send the form, a copy is delivered by email to my inbox, which is hosted by Google. Google's servers may also be outside the UK, and transfers are covered by their standard data protection terms.

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.

How long it's kept

Enquiries are kept only as long as they are useful — to answer you, and to keep a record if we go on to work together. Enquiries that don't lead anywhere are deleted once they're no longer relevant.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Ask for your data to be deleted
  • Object to, or ask me to restrict, how it's used
  • Ask for your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, get in touch. If you're not happy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
