Questions people ask before we start.
If yours isn't here, ask it on the discovery call. That's exactly what it's for.
Working with me
What is your coaching style?
I am passionate, professional, and purposeful with a sense of humour. I pride myself on focusing on what's working and what's possible. I ask insightful questions, which help us understand who you are, what makes you tick, and the system influence you are part of.
How long is a session, and how many should I have?
A session usually takes between 1–1.5 hours. The sessions are as often as you need — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on your journey stage.
Where are you based?
I am based in Belfast, but I help clients all over Ireland and the UK.
What can I expect to get out of our time together?
You'll see vast improvements — a list of defined SMART goals, an increase in emotional intelligence, and a greater awareness and understanding of why you do the things you do (and why you don't do the things you know you should).
How do I know this will work for me?
All of my clients who have found success have done so because of a desire to GROW and a willingness to REFLECT and REFINE habits for lasting change. You've already done the first part — deciding you need a coach — and now your life change is ready for the taking!
How much does a coaching engagement cost?
I operate on a sliding pricing scale, and prices vary by service — career, executive, leadership, or life coaching. Once we've had a discovery session, I'll provide a quote.
Coaching, explained
What is solution-focused coaching?
Solution-focused coaching spends less time analysing the problem and more time building the way forward. Rather than digging through history, we look at what is already working, what your strengths are, and what the next practical step looks like. It tends to move faster than problem-focused approaches because it starts from your existing resourcefulness.
Do you coach in person or online?
Both. I am based in Belfast and work with clients across Ireland and the UK, so sessions run in person or online depending on where you are and what suits you.
What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?
A mentor has walked your path and gives you advice from their own experience. A coach helps you find your own answers by asking the questions that get you there. In practice I ask insightful questions to help us understand who you are, what makes you tick, and the system you are part of — rather than telling you what I would do.
Do you coach school principals specifically?
Yes. A large part of my work is with school principals, senior leaders and boards in the education sector, alongside business leaders. The pressures of leading a school community are particular, and the coaching reflects that.
